Tara Mitcheltree - Senior Counsel

TaraTara Mitcheltree is Senior Counsel with Riley Law Group PC and has been with the firm since February, 2015. Tara has worked for multiple firms in Los Angeles and New York, focusing on high-stakes and international litigation in state and federal court. Tara was a law clerk for the Hon. Arthur L. Alarcón of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal from 2008 to 2012.

Tara has worked on virtually every slum housing, lead poisoning and real estate case filed by Riley Law Group since joining the firm. Tara is a fierce advocate for the firm's clients and injured children in general. Tara believes that justice is a right that cannot and should not be denied based solely on a person's heritage or income.

Tara speaks fluent Spanish and is active with the Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles. Tara is a graduate of Brooklyn Law School in New York (J.D. 2002) and Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts (B.A. 1996). She is admitted to practice in California and New York. When Tara isn't fighting for justice, she's running after her two children and enjoying the life in Los Angeles.

Angela Herrera - Senior Legal Secretary and Administrator


Angela Herrera has been with Riley Law Group PC from the beginning. Angela is the firm's senior legal secretary and administrator. Angela is a native of Bogota, Colombia and is a fierce defender of children's rights. She graduated from Social Work and has a degree in Liberal Arts from Santa Monica College. Angela keeps the Riley Law Group machine running smoothly and focused on justice, always justice. Angela lives in Reseda with her wonderful husband and two beautiful daughters.

Michael Juarez-Munoz - Case Manager

MichaelMichael Juarez-Munoz is a Case Manager with Riley Law Group PC. Michael joined the firm in May 2014 and has helped the firm represent hundreds of tenants who have suffered at the hands of abusive landlords. Michael is a key figure in the firm's slum housing practice and has helped manage numerous lead poisoning and slum housing cases. Having grown up in South Central Los Angeles, Michael understands firsthand the plight of low-income Hispanic and African American families who struggle every day to improve their lives and the lives of their children. Michael is fluent in English and Spanish and speaks conversational Portuguese. In his spare time Michael coaches youth soccer and volunteers at A Place Called Home and with the California Endowment "WeConnect" program. Michael believes in giving back to his community and working at Riley Law Group PC has allowed Michael to realize this important goal.

Lizi Garcia - Senior Paralegal

LiziLizi Garcia is a Senior Paralegal with Riley Law Group PC. Lizi provides essential litigation support to the team at Riley Law Group. Lizi has degrees in Business Administration and Paralegal Studies from Fremont College where she graduated summa cum laude. Lizi grew up in Miami and speaks fluent Spanish (with a great Cuban accent!). Lizi has worked on many of the firm's high profile cases and has helped the firm recover millions of dollars on behalf of the firm's clients. Lizi is dedicated to the success and well-being of her clients and has worked many long hours preparing for trial. Having been raised in a warm and loving Hispanic environment, Lizi identifies with the families and children the firm represents. In her spare time, Lizi reads, cooks and works out.

Erika Durell - Case Manager

ErikaErika joined Riley Law Group PC as Case Manager in 2016. Erika is the newest member of our team. Erika has an excellent working relationship with the firm's clients and experts. Erika has consistently shown a willingness to go the extra mile to obtain the best possible result for the firm's clients. Erika's only regret is that there isn't more time in the day. When not working, Erika spends time with family and friends.

Norman Gonzalez - Photographer and Principal Field Investigator

Norman is the firm's photographer and principal field investigator. Norman is at the forefront of the firm's slum housing practice and uses his significant photography skills to document the living conditions of the firm's clients. Norman is passionate about his work with the firm and likes nothing better than forcing slumlords to repair and rehabilitate the rental homes occupied by the firm's clients. Norman lives in Canyon Country and loves classic cars.
